Tiliti Adams

Tiliti Adams is currently a Junior at Kamehameha Schools Maui. He has been a Kamehameha Schools Maui student since he was in kindergarten and is very proud to have been labeled a "Warrior" his whole life. He plays football, basketball, volleyball, and track. He started his youth football career in 5th grade as a Linebacker. He then transitioned his way to playing the skill positions of Receiver and Defensive Back from 8th grade on. Tiliti Adams has played and started for the Kamehameha Schools Maui Varsity Football Team since he was a Freshman. He currently plays Quarterback, Cornerback, and Receiver for the KSM Warriors. He plans to take his athletic talents to the collegiate level and further it if he gets the chance. Tiliti plans to study physical education after high school and hopes to become a coach after he is finished playing sports.

-2017 Hawaiʻi All-State Honorable Mention Cornerback

-Invited to Army All American Combine from 2018 Polynesian Triangle Camp

Slade Teshima

Slade Teshima is 17 years old and is a Junior at Kamehameha Schools Maui. He has been attending KSM since the 6th grade. He has been playing football since 8th grade as a running back for the Wailuku Bears in Big Boys and continued playing football in high school and made the move to Linebacker, which is his current position. Slade has been on Varsity since his freshmen year and had his first start in his sophomore year of high school. The positions he plays include Linebacker, Defensive End, Strong Safety, Running Back and Tight End. He hopes to play at the collegiate level and hopefully further his career in football. He wants to go into college and get his degree in Engineering and move back home one day after all football is done and live here and coach football. He hopes to coach up the youth in football and show them how we run it up here on the mountain!

Steven Kapena Gushiken

Kapena Gushiken is currently a Junior at Kamehameha Schools Maui. He has attended KSM since the sixth grade. He enjoys playing football, basketball, and track. He started playing football at the age of 6. He played Running Back all the way until his freshman year in high school. He then became a “stud” also known as the Defensive Back for the KSM Warriors. He now starts as the the Cornerback for the Varsity Football Team at Kamehameha Schools Maui. He is also one of KSM's best kick/punt returners on Special Teams. Kapena plans to continue playing football at the collegiate level and hopefully play professionally some day. Kapena is very interested in the game, and he plans on coaching football in the future.

Coach Ulima Afoa

Coach Afoa was Born in Tutuila, American Samoa. He attended Saint Louis High School on Oahu.  He later attended Santa Rosa Junior College, then transferred to San Diego State University on a football scholarship.  Coach Afoa graduated with a BA in Political Science.  He coached Division I football for 20 plus years at San Diego State University and the University of Hawaii.  He served in various capacities at the high school level including Counselor, Dean of Students, Associate Athletic Director and Athletic Director.  Coach Afoa completed a Masters of Education (emphasis in Organizational management) from American Intercontinental University.  He is currently the Head Coach for the Kamehameha Schools Maui Varsity Football Team.

Coach David Kamalani

Coach David Kamalani has mastered the science of the biomechanics of speed development for over 20 years.  He has been sponsored by Nike within the Pacific Region for 11 years.  He magnified his philosophy to local Hawai'i High Schools such as Punahou, Kamehameha Schools Kapalama, St Louis, Kamehameha Schools Maui, and many more.  His experience and expertise has developed over 220 high school athletes to a Division I university and over 80 all Americans in an eight year span.  The training is so unique, he is able to "doctor" someones mechanics and change their speed in a one hour session.  To add more to his success, he is also a "Life Coach" changing the perspective about coaching this generation, how to succeed through progression, how desire can be taught, having the nervous system work for you and much more.

Coach Joseph Siofele

Joseph Samuelu Siofele, Jr. was raised in Waipahu, O’ahu. He attended Saint Louis School from the 7th grade where he was a 3 sport athlete. He graduated from Saint Louis in 1999 and earned a full football scholarship to the University of Arizona. He played all 4 years and graduated with his Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science in December 2003. In 2004, Joseph signed as a Free Agent with the Cincinnati Bengals but was later released that same year. He then Played for the Hawaii Islanders Arena football team in 2004. He is currently Married to Ituala with 4 children: Jonah(16), Mathyas-John(4), Su’esolo(3), Fuarosa(1) and currently resides in Wailuku, Maui and teaches at Iao School.

-1997-1st team All State LB/1st Team ILH LB ILH All Star Basketball

-1998 State Champion Shot Put and Discus

-1998-Defensive Player of the Year (First team ILH, All-State) ILH/State All Star Team Basketball -1999 State Champion Shot Put and Discus

-2002- Defensive Lineman MVP award (University of Arizona)

-2003- Team Captain and Defensive Player MVP (University of Arizona)

Coach Thomas Tonu

Thomas Thaddeus Ongomai Tonu was born on April 20, 1979. He is from Hau’ula, Hawaiʻi. He attended Maui High School and graduated in 1997. Coach Tonu went on to play football at Snow College and then at The University of Montana Western. He has been coaching football since 2008 and is currently on Kamehameha School's Maui Varsity Football Coaching Staff. Coach Tonu is currently the Director of a non-profit program, The Pathway Maui . The goal of The Pathway Maui is to help individuals pursue pathway plans through partnerships , education and the exposure of our youth.

Coach Lance De Silva

Coach Lance De Silva is a 1994 Kamehameha Schools Graduate and a 1999 University of Montana at Missoula graduate (BS degree in Forestry/Natural Resources Management). He is employed by the State of HI, Dept of Land & Natural Resources, Division of Forestry and Wildlife - Maui Nui district office as the Forestry Program Manager and Fire Management Officer. He has spent 20 plus years coaching football, youth baseball, and basketball at the youth level all the way up to high school and semi pro (football). Coach Lance currently is the Offensive Coordinator/Quarterback coach for the Kamehameha Schools Maui Varsity football program and will serve as the Offensive Coordinator/Quarterback coach for the inaugural UHMC club football team in the spring of 2020. Also, he currently is an assistant basketball coach at the King Kekaulike HS Varsity Girls Basketball Program.

Coach Ikaika Chong Kee

Coach Ikaika Chong Kee has played the game of football his entire life. He started out as a Quarterback from JPW through pop warner. When he got to high school, he found the passion for Defensive Back. He played Cornerback/Strong Safety as a 4 year starter. He got his first job coaching at Maui High School as the Defensive Back coach and Defensive Coordinator for the Junior Varsity. He then moved to King Kekaulike High School as a Defensive Back and Wide Receiver coach and eventually became the Defensive Coordinator. He has spent the last four years coaching at Kamehameha Schools Maui as the Defensive Back coach.

Coach Jonah Aruda

Jonah Aruda is 25 years old and is a Kamehameha Schools Maui alumni. Jonah spent some time playing in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for Edmonton, where he eventually had to stop due to a hip tear. He is currently a personal football skills trainer and a Pop Warner/youth flag football coach. He loves working with kids and showing/teaching them the skill set of higher level football that will improve a childʻs skill performance.
